💌 Opening Reflection

Dear Reader,

Today, of all days, asks us to turn toward light.
Not just candlelight and roses—but the light that lingers when someone stays. When they whisper love into your storms. When they sit beside you—not just for passion, but for presence.

Love, at its core, is a quiet act of hope.
A belief that hearts can still find rhythm—even in a world full of noise.

This Valentine’s, I offer you a moment of stillness to hear love’s quieter truths.

📖 Featured Verse: “Whispered” (excerpt)

I whispered to the Sun,
that when you look upon him,
to share my smile,
and when you look at the moon
to hear my whisper,
I love you.

...

I whispered from my soul,
which the Universe brought
to your waiting spirit.
You echoed my thoughts
for eternity.

💍 A Soft Glimpse into a Love Story

What does it mean to choose someone—again and again—when life doesn’t hand you easy days or perfect timing?

The Proposal: A Story of Love and Doubt explores that question. It begins on a spring morning and winds through hesitation, heartache, and the sacred ache of saying yes—even when the voice shakes.

One poem in particular, Victory Kiss, captures that moment where everything stands still:

I move in your direction and pause
Waiting for your decision
In accordance with the Universe's laws
you raise your face to me
Our lips touch, frozen heart thaws…

🪞 A Glimpse into the Poetic Letter Series

I pondered creating a second volume chapbook for Valentine's Desire.

This season’s poetic letters trace the echoes between lovers who found one another across galaxies of longing.

When is one such letter. A cosmic offering. A vow stretched across lifetimes.

This poem stood out for me—it feels less like Valentine’s kitsch and more like sacred poetry—something From the Quiet Verse aims to preserve.

📖 Read: “When”

when the sun rises this morning
you will have risen in my heart
for each morning that passes,
you go with me from day's start.

when the moon shines in the night sky
you will light the way for my soul
i dare not question the reason why
when your love was clearly foretold.

when the stars glitter in the milky way
you have already become my universe
we merely follow the path each day
when the signs laid a perfect course.

when the tide rises in the ocean today
in your sea of love I already swim
waiting for your life boat of love
when you rescue my heart from whim.

when the birds take to the air after dawn
i am flying with you, my angel
for with the universe we master the air
when our hearts are in formation well.

when the time is upon us, when we kiss
not a moment will we miss
for each second together is precious—
a treasure from the universe, no less.

when i heard birds singing outside my window
they sang of music and rhyme i know
they carried the love you breathed for me
passed by many voices across the sea.

when is forever, my love?
it matters not when it falls
for I will love for eternity—
beyond when time stalls.

when I am invited by God to heaven
I am already there with your love
waiting for the arrival of your heart
when granted by the angels above.

✍️ A Gentle Prompt

Write a love letter that begins, “When you…”
Let it unfold like a memory or a wish.
Even if it's to someone you haven't met yet.
Especially then.

(Feel free to reply and share. Your words deserve air.)

🌙 Until Next Time

Love doesn’t always arrive with a grand entrance.
Sometimes, it steps forward with a whisper.
Sometimes, it stays through the storm.
And sometimes—if we’re lucky—it echoes through eternity.

With heart,
Herb
